As a corporate coach, he espouses and models the values of: respect, collaboration, curiosity and optimism. In the coach-client relationship he views the client as having the innate resources to apply to the ongoing challenges of the corporate world. He is an expert at defining and clarifying the constraints that may be active in preventing a client's potential from emerging. His focus is on the development of present and future competencies that can be applied to the rigorous demands of corporate life in order to execute best solutions. Allan received his Masters in Social Work from the University of Toronto, with a speciality in counselling with a Systems Perspective applied to individuals, groups and organizations. He has pursued ongoing professional therapeutic training including: Gestalt, Eriksonian Brief Hypnosis and work with counter transference. He contributed to the initial development of his organization's 360 degree feedback coaching model and has coached to the model since its inception. He regularly coaches participants in this enterprise's managerial leadership development program. Allan has expert knowledge in the area of Emotional Intelligence and has received certification in two of the validated models. He most recently contributed to the development of the Emotional Intelligence component for the Bank's HR Curriculum Pilot Project and subsequent cohorts providing coaching to the participants. Allan has wide ranging interests including all season tripping in the wilderness, opera, and hockey. He is currently making himself crazy while trying to decipher James Joyce.
