Organizational Assessment

Creating... offers various assessment tools to reach specific ends. We believe assessment tools are useful starting points to help individuals, teams and organizations increase awareness of potential strengths, liabilities and opportunities for growth. Creating... offers the following assessment tools:

  • Myers Brigg Type Indicator (MBTI) - MBTI stands for Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and is an instrument for determining personality types. It was developed by Isabel Briggs-Myers and is based on the theories of Swiss Psychiatrist, Carl G. Jung. The MBTI is a 93-item instrument that reports preferences that indicate differences in people that result from where we prefer to focus our attention and get energy, the way we prefer to take in information, the way we prefer to make decisions and how we orient ourselves to the external world. The MBTI instrument is one of the most trusted and widely used assessments in the world for understanding individual differences and uncovering new ways to work and interact with others.

  • Team Management Profile (TMP) - Understanding work preferences is a critical component in developing individual, team and organizational performance. Team Management Systems' Team Management Profile Questionnaire is a 60-item assessment focused on enhancing understanding of an individual's approaches to work.

  • Mayer, Salovey, Caruso, Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) - Emotional Intelligence is the ability to perceive emotions, to access and generate emotions so as to assist thought, to understand emotions and emotional knowledge, and to reflectively regulate emotions so as to promote emotional and intellectual growth. (Mayer & Salovey, 1997) The MSCEIT consists of 141 items that yield a total emotional intelligence score, two Area scores, four Branch scores and eight Task level scores. This test has been normed and attains reliability and validity. There is extensive data on the importance of highly effective leaders augmenting their cognitive abilities with their emotional abilities. This test is a true ability test rather than a less valid self-report measure of emotional intelligence.

  • Team Performance Profile (TPP) - For high-performance in teams, ongoing assessment is a requirement. The Team Performance Profile Questionnaire and resulting Profile are tools developed to support this process.

  • Linking Skills Profile: Projectivity - Extensive interviews with teams and team leaders throughout the world have highlighted the common elements responsible for integrating and coordinating teams into a coherent 'whole'. Team Management Systems identifies these elements as Linking Skills.

  • Quotient of Opportunities & Obstacles (QO2) - The Opportunities-Obstacles Profile is a unique instrument measuring people's inherent approach to risk. It assesses the balance of energy they are likely to put into seeing the opportunities or seeing the obstacles.

  • Kolb's Learning Styles - Multiple Intelligence (MI) theory states that there are at least seven different ways of learning anything, and therefore there are "seven intelligences."

  • Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument - The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument is designed to assess an individual's behavior in conflict situations.

  • Core Qualities (Daniel Ofman) - This system provides managers with insight into the motivations of their employees and is particularly valuable in dealing with difficult or incompatible personality types.
